I made this guac for our annual Christmas Day drop-in and it got rave reviews. I originally went to make the recipe from the New York Times that had everyone up in arms about adding green peas to guacamole, but after actually reading it, I realized certain family members would not enjoy the cilantro or the jalapeño pepper. So I made it my own. It was eaten so fast I didn't even have a chance to take a photo the first time around! This recipe makes about one soup bowl worth.
The holidays are fun (but also tough) because my family has a lot of birthdays from the last week of November leading right through Christmas Day. To know how much and what to gift can be challenging, but this year I'm pretty proud with what I came up with, so I figured I would share!
A lot of people ask me where I shop and how I shop, both from a "can fashion be sustainable?" sense and a social responsibility side. I love brands that give back and have a commitment to doing right by the world. Below are some great brands and shops that I love to look at!
I am not one who cares much for material things, but recently a few items have caught my eye and for the first time in a few years, I have a gift wish list! These items I really love and would definitely fit right in with my life. Hopefully you find the perfect gift on this list for someone you love!
I've been hearing the same excuse over and over again about people being "too busy." This isn't an excuse that people have only been telling me, but one that my friend group has been arguing about too. So many people in our lives have been "too busy" to make time to see us, make time to respond to us, make time to give us the respect we deserve and that we give them.
